EDTA Season 2013/14 - Are you Interested in Playing Doubles Only?
Well, maybe not as good as these guys! But.....
The Eastern Districts Tennis Association receives requests each year for a Men’s or Women’s doubles only competition unfortunately due to lack of team nominations the doubles only format for either men or women has not been able to be included in our competition when your club nominates this year this option will once again be included on the form. Please let your club know if this form of competition is of interest to you
Campbelltown Tennis & Netball Club - Annual General Meeting 2013
Thankyou so much to everyone from the Tennis Club who attended the AGM on Tuesday night, and an extra big thankyou to the three reps from Tennis, Tim Eckert, Robyn Filmer and Susan Tardivo, who have put their hand up to be involved on the CTNC Management Committee for 2013/14. This is such an important and often thankless role in order to keep the club's facilities in good shape and work towards improving your club.
A big thankyou to the outgoing President Phil Williams who has done a brilliant job in bringing together and improving the lines of communication between the Tennis and Netball clubs. We thank Phil for all his time and effort during his time on the Management Committee and are pleased that he will continue assisting the Tennis Committee as a general committee member.
The Tennis Committee will continue on with Alex Wyatt as Chairperson, and David Sosnowski as Treasurer, however, with Robyn stepping up to the Management Committee, the Tennis Committee is now in need of a new Secretary. The Secretary position involves being the centre of communication lines for the Tennis club (mostly email), preparation of agenda and minutes, updating the online member database, and attendance at one meeting per month.
Please have a serious think about it, and contact us
if you would like to volunteer a small amount of your time back into
your club. If everyone puts a bit of time back into the committee we
would have a constant, fairly shared workload and range of skills which
would greatly assist with keeping our great club running and thriving
into the future.

New Coach Announcement - Atilio Waltcheff
To all tennis members of Campbelltown Tennis Club; the tennis committee is pleased to announce the appointment of a new club coach, Atilio Waltcheff starting in 2013.
Atilio has signed a four year agreement and his credentials are without question very extensive; Atilio’s presence will be obvious as he builds the junior program and he can offer his level 2 coaching experience to existing players also.
A sample of his details are: 20 years Coaching Experience; 10th anniversary of his Tennis School; Chairman of the South Australian Local Coaching Advisory Group (LCAG); initiator of the 'orange' and 'green' ball in EDTA and other associations.
He brings qualifications such as: Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement); Tennis Australia Junior Development Coach and Club Professional Coach; a Grad Dip in Teaching and Learning and a Certificate in Strength and Conditioning.
Atilio’s work with the MLC Tennis Hot Shots program and the Hot Shots Tennis in Schools make him an ideal coach to take carriage at the early stages of our own club Hot Shots program.
Pierino and I can assure you all that we are entering a new era at the club and we are very confident that the future of Campbelltown tennis will be well placed with Atilio, Pierino and myself championing the growth and development of juniors and seniors to ensure we have an exciting and enjoyable time now and in the future.
We already have a link to Atilio’s website, that allows online booking for tennis lessons and you can read Atilio’s resume in more detail.
We also plan to have an open day at the club in the new year to allow all members to meet Atilio; this will be scheduled soon and emailed to all members and advertised here in due course.
All the best for the Christmas season,

CTC Coaching Update
To all tennis players, junior and senior at Campbelltown, I can inform you that James Pick has resigned as club coach at our club effective for the start of term 4 of this school year.
While the Campbelltown Tennis Club regret the inconvenience to juniors at this time, we appreciate the difficult decision that James has had to make and trust his future tennis work at Burnside will be fruitful and further his coaching career.
As a result of James departure; Pierino Salvatore and myself have been in discussions regarding a new club coach and I can say we are in the final negotiations with a replacement coach that should, and will create significant interest and opportunities for juniors at the club.
foresee this change, in conjunction with the initiation of a local
school hot shots program, as re-establishing our junior program that
will no doubt grow and develop in the future with the coach and Pierino
working in tandem on this development path. A further result will be
the growth of the membership of tennis. Pierino and I see this change
as a positive one for Campbelltown and tennis at our club. As
negotiations are finalised, we will keep you all informed of the who
the new coach is and when the person will be starting at Campbelltown.
